The Hoffman Mansion

Date:

November 10, 2013

Location:

The Hoffman Mansion is located at 2632 Emmitsburg Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.

Description:

The Hoffman Mansion is located on Emmitsburg Road next to the Eisenhower Conference Center.  The mansion sits near the approximate location of Pickett's Charge and was used as a field hospital for the Union Army during and after the Charge.  The Mansion is known for the presence of orbs near the front parlor of the home where most of the operations were performed.  It has been reported that the doctor in charge still haunts that room.  Additionally, the Hoffman's daughter, reportedly over mistaken gossip about here fiancé's fidelity, hung herself in the attic.  Her presence is known to haunt that space and frequently makes herself known.

Blue Ridge Paranormal Society (BRPS) team and S.M.A.R.T. Investigations organized a private investigation of the Hoffman Mansion with approval of Gettysburg Ghost Tours.

Results:

The BRMS and S.M.A.R.T. Investigation teams obtained several photos that are compelling.  The first four photos show orbs that are either stationary or in motion.

The next photo appears to show a face in a window.  The face does not resemble any of the team members that attended the investigation although it does appear to be as a result of a reflection. Therefore, the photo is questionable.  The face appears in the window on the right.  Double click on the photo to see full view.

The following photo appears to show a black mass with human form at the lower left window.  It has been confirmed that no team members were inside the mansion when this photo was taken.

The analysis of the audio was inconlusive.

Conclusion:

Haunted
