Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum

The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum is located a 71 Asylum Drive, Weston, WVA 26452.

 

Description:

Blue Ridge Paranormal Society (BRPS) organized an all night paranormal investigation provided by the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum (also known as TALA).  A background of TALA will be posted in the section in the near future. 

 

Results:

BRPS's investigation indicates that the TALA is a very active location based upon its unique history. Approximately eleven photos were found to have orb activity.  The most activity was oldest section of TALA known as the Civil War Section.

The next two photos show phantom mist, which many believe is ectoplasm.

BRPS is including four video that were recorded during the full night investigation at TALA.  The first two videos show flashlight sessions within separate sections of the building.  The first video is a flashlight session that occurred in the Children's Ward.  The second video is a flashlight session in the Men's Violent Ward, and it appears to be interaction with a spirit by the name Tom, who was involved murdering another inmate.  (Note that Blue Ridge Paranormal Society was once Mid-Atlantic Paranormal Investigations (MPI) which is still referenced in the video titles.)

The third video describes a metallic banging sound as a response.  The last video details the sound of a banging closet door.

The analysis of the audio files from the audio recorders is still ongoing.  Any EVPs will be posted on this page soon.
